Non-oil exports stopped falling and rebounded, with a year-on-year increase of 13% in June

Non-electronics exports rose 14.5% in June, reversing the downward trend of 5.8% last month. Among them, non-monetary gold surged by 211.9%, and special machinery and other special chemicals increased by 31.4% and 20.1% respectively, contributing the largest increase in non-electronic exports.

The latest data released by the Singapore Enterprise Development Bureau on Thursday (July 17) showed that my country's non-oil domestic exports increased by 5.2% in the first half of this year.

Compared with the same period last year, electronic product exports increased by 8% in June, far higher than the 1.6% increase last month. Integrated circuits, personal computers and bare printed circuit boards (bare PCBs) grew by 17.5%, 53.8% and 17.0%, respectively, contributing the largest growth in electronic exports.

In terms of total trade volume, the year-on-year increase of 5.4% in June, higher than the 1.0% growth in May; it was mainly driven by exports, while imports were basically the same.

In terms of export market, my country's non-oil domestic exports to Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea increased in June, but exports to the 27 EU countries, Thailand, Malaysia, the United States, Indonesia and Japan fell.
