Former Manchester United first-team analyst Tom Green was interviewed and talked about his experience working with Mourinho and Ten Hag.
Q: When you worked with Mourinho, did he have any special requirements in terms of data and tactical analysis?
Green: Mourinho is an "image lover." He used to ask for what he called a 'Photoshop report' containing 90-100 graphical analysis images. He used to conduct all tactical meetings himself. He could watch the video and remember every detail, everything... I've never seen someone walk into a room with such a strong aura and presence. What he did at halftime was really, really good. Very concise and clear. Simply awesome.
Question: How is Ten Hag different from Mourinho in terms of tactical analysis?
Green: Ten Hag, I learned a lot from him tactically. Very, very attention to detail. Sometimes there was a lack of personal touch between me and him because he was always football, football, football. I had a lot of face-to-face time with him.
