If your cat doesn't eat or drink for two days, this can be a big problem and needs to be solved immediately. Cats will try to absorb water and nutrition from their bodies if they don’t eat or drink. Therefore, if they stop eating and drinking for a long time, it becomes possible to directly lead to dehydration and malnutrition.

Diseases are the most common factor affecting cats' appetite. If your cat stops eating, it may be unhealthy, so first, you need to determine if the cat is showing signs of illness, whether it is showing symptoms of vomiting, for example, whether it will vomit anything it eats or whether it has diarrhea. If the cat has any of these symptoms, it is best if the doctor checks its health.

You can try changing the cat's food or adjusting its preferences to stimulate its appetite. If a cat is used to a particular brand or taste of food, you can change the brand or taste of the food. This may encourage it to start eating. You can also let cats try some high-protein foods, such as chicken, fresh fish and other foods, or some foods that cats like to eat.

Even if a cat has no appetite, drinking water is crucial. If it cannot eat, remove residue from the oral cavity and provide a clean source of water. Alternatively, you can try changing to a new source of water, such as some cats prefer to drink running water.

If a cat is in a bad mood, it may also affect its appetite. Make sure the cat's management plan is comfortable, gently touch its head and gently pinch its ears to give it some extra attention. Give it a good resting environment and sleep in some quiet and secret places.

If your cat obviously has health problems, or if nothing else works, take it to the veterinarian. The veterinarian may recommend medication or make other arrangements to help the cat return to normal diet and watering habits.
