More and more people use silk quilts, but many people don’t know how to maintain silk quilts. Because the price of silk quilts is very high, special attention should be paid to the maintenance methods in daily life. First of all, can silk quilts be dried?

1. Newly purchased silk quilts cannot be exposed to the sun for a long time. Because the newly purchased silk quilt will smell like silkworm pupae, we usually put it in a ventilated position. And take it out and dry it every two weeks, and then pat it gently. However, it is recommended not to expose the sun for a long time.

2. Silk quilts can be sunburned, but they cannot be exposed to the sun. Because silk quilts that are exposed to the sun for a long time will easily deteriorate. Although it is often said that bleaching is a sterilization process, the exposure time should not be too long.

3. Show it once every half month or once a month. When drying silk quilts, the time is controlled to 3-4 hours, and both sides are exposed to the front and back.

Can wool be sunburned?

Because wool is made of curly wool, the material contains a lot of air, and the air transfers heat frequently, prevents cold air from entering and has high warmth. High temperature will change the oil content of the wool, causing the wool to change the composition structure, because it is best to dry for 1-2 hours to achieve sterilization and moisture removal. If you find that the quilt is dirty, don’t wash it in water, you can only choose dry cleaning.
