Wolves have signed Norwegian international David Wallfee from Eredivisie team Alkmar. The two sides have signed a contract for five years. The specific transfer is still to be approved for visa and international transfer licensing procedures.
Walfey became the third signing of the Wolves this summer window. He will reunite with Norwegian national teammate Larsen on Wolves. Last season, Walfe participated in double-digit goals and assists.
The 23-year-old left-back has played 190 adult team games so far. His debut dates back to 2017, when he was just a teenager, he played for Norway's Bergen North. However, the real leap of his career began with a transfer to the Bran in 2019.
Walfe quickly gained a stable chance to play in the Super League. Although the Bran team suffered a relegation, Walfe has always been an indispensable member of the team after returning to the Norwegian Super League in 2022 and setting a brilliant record of nearly unbeaten throughout the season. In the end, Walfee also won his first league championship in his personal career.
After that, he transferred to Alkmaar and made his debut in the Eredivisie. As a left back, he replaced Kelkez, who left the team, became the team's regular starter, participating in 45 games in total, and made appearances in every game between the Dutch Eredivisie and Europa League.
Last season, his reputation as an offensive full-back further improved. He contributed 8 assists (including the UEFA Cup against Roma) and scored 3 goals in his own personal score, including the match against Almele City, which was also the farewell match for Alkmaar before his transfer to Wolves.
Walfee once represented the national youth team of four age groups in Norway and served as the captain of the U21 national team for a time. Two years ago, he made his national team debut against the Faroe Islands (Larsen also scored in that game), and has made 12 appearances for the national team so far.
In the recent match, Norway won all four games in this World Cup qualifier, and Walfe started and played all four games. During this period, he broke through the Israeli goal and started the game in June this year when the team defeated Italy 3-0. Now, the Norwegian international is about to make his Premier League debut.
