The Mirror reported that Manchester United is preparing to buzzer-beat Martin for £40 million.
This summer, Manchester United had refused to sign the Argentine goalkeeper because his £200,000 weekly salary would make the transaction cost too high. Instead, Manchester United set their sights on Antwerp's highly sought-after young goalkeeper Senna Ramons, signing the target of defeating many European rivals for £20 million. Ramens is believed to have completed the signing before the transfer deadline on Monday night, and the 23-year-old goalkeeper is seen as a potential candidate to replace Courtois as Belgium's No. 1 goalkeeper.
But Manchester United now seems to be preparing to approve the expensive short-term plan for signing Martin rather than planning for the future. Martin will celebrate his 33rd birthday on Tuesday, and his age and hot personality prompted Villa to seek cash out.
Although Manchester United has spent more than 200 million pounds to sign up this summer and is facing restrictions on profit and sustainable development rules, the club believes that signing Martin is a must-do gambling.
coach Amorin did not trust Onana and Baindel. Onana's unstable performance when he lost to Greensby in the midweek League Cup, he was ruled out of the roster for Manchester United's 3-2 victory over Burnley. But after Baindel was responsible for conceding when he drew 1-1 last week, he made another mistake in Burnley's second equaliser in this round.
It is interesting that Villa himself has a buzzer-beating operation to bring West Ham's Paqueta to the team. Coach Unai Emery has been pushing the club's senior management to strengthen the lineup, but the PSR problem has caused Villa to fail to strengthen according to the coach's wishes.
Despite pursuing Paqueta, Villa will get financial buffer space by selling academy midfielder Jacob Ramsey and selling Martinez in the next 36 hours. They are negotiating about renting and then buying Paqueta.
Villa is likely to introduce a new goalkeeper at the same time, but if an ideal replacement is not found, Emery may be willing to let new player Marco Bizot stick to the goal until January.
