British media: Isaac s request for a weekly salary of 300,000 pounds shocked Newcastle, the club originally expected 200,000 pounds

According to British media TBR, Isaac asked for a weekly salary of nearly 300,000 pounds in negotiations for renewal, which surprised Newcastle.

Newcastle has started contract renewal negotiations with Isaac this summer, and they acknowledged that Isaac's existing contract does not match his position in the team. Isaac currently has a weekly salary of about 120,000 pounds in Newcastle, and it is still a certain distance from Guimaraes, a team's maximum salary of 150,000 pounds per week.

Sources revealed that Newcastle originally hoped to give Isaac a weekly salary of nearly £200,000, which could already make him the highest-paid player in Newcastle's team history and break the team's salary structure.

However, Isaac asked for a weekly salary of nearly 300,000 pounds, which was far beyond the club's expectations. Isaac has three years left in its existing contract, which means that Newcastle has little pressure to renew its contract.

Although there is a big gap in the valuation of the new contract between the two parties, British media said that Newcastle still insists that it will not sell Isaac this summer.
