Chelsea officially announced that meritorious former player Diego Costa will join Chelsea Legends to participate in a charity match with Liverpool Legends on October 11.
Diego Costa is Chelsea's top scorer when he won the Premier League championship in 14-15 and 16-17, and is deeply loved by Blues fans. He is known for his tough center play and outstanding shooting skills, and has repeatedly staged fierce competitions with Liverpool defenders, especially in the 2015 League Cup semi-finals.
Diego Costa scored a goal in the subsequent final, helping Chelsea beat Tottenham and won his third trophy during his time at Chelsea. Diego Costa played 120 games for Chelsea and scored 59 goals.
Diego Costa will participate in the game with players such as Cech, Katie Chapman, Joe Cole, Cudicini, Gemma Davidson, Deselli, Gala, Goodjohansen, Eden Hazard, Kalu, Ramirez, Sinclair, Terry and Zora, and help raise funds from the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Player Trust.
