Manchester City meritorious defender Kyle Walker joined Burnley for about 5 million pounds and signed for two years. On social media, he wrote an emotional farewell letter to say goodbye to Manchester City.
Walker wrote: This farewell is a little different, but I think it's something you definitely deserve. For seven and a half years, it was a truly amazing, wonderful and special place that will remain in my heart forever.
I think the achievements we have made as a team, a club, an organization, and a big family are absolutely incredible. This not only includes players and staff, but also you fans. Whether it is a climax or a trough, whether it is a good time or a bad time, the triple crown, the Yum record, and the four consecutive championships, we have done everything you can think of. I want to say thank you to each of you.
From Mubarak to Begiristan to the head coach, you have left a special place in my heart and I will forever be grateful for the wonderful time you have brought to me and my family, both on and off the court, especially when we win the trophy.
I also want to say thank you to my teammates. Whether it is past or present, playing football with you is an absolute honor. I'm lucky to be playing alongside some legends, but there are still top legends and top players in the club and I'm sure you can continue to achieve what we've accomplished over the past few years. This is not a farewell, but goodbye!
I want to thank the fans again, and thank everyone related to Manchester City from 2017 to the present, my new chapter will be unfolding in different places. It's a whole new challenge, but I'm very much looking forward to it and will give it all.
