It is said that dogs are humans’ friends. They can accompany humans and make us feel less lonely. In fact, this is nothing. What dogs really help humans are service dogs, which are guide dogs, police dogs, drug detection dogs, etc. that we often hear about. So what kind of dogs are these dogs? Let’s take a look with the editor~

The five major service dogs:
Golden Retrievers: Mainly used as guide dogs and hearing aid dogs. Labrador Retriever: Mainly used as guide dogs, hearing dogs, search and rescue dogs and assistance dogs. Border Collies: Mainly used as search and rescue dogs and drug detection dogs. German Shepherd: Mainly used as police dogs, military dogs, search and rescue dogs and hearing dogs. Belgian Shepherd Dog: Mainly used as police and military dogs.

Service Dogs and Pets:
A service dog is different from a "normal" pet because it is trained to perform specific tasks at specific times. Just like having to perform certain tasks while "on the job," the same goes for service dogs. Generally speaking, a service dog is not considered a pet and is necessary for the functions and activities of daily living. However, when service dogs are "not on the job," they can relax and act more like a family pet, sitting on the couch with them or going for a run. No matter what a dog’s purpose is, they are loved!
